Tina Thompson, M.A., CCC-SLP

“My aim is to provide a compassionate and professional approach to therapy centered around partnering with children and their families.”

Tina is a Myofunctional & ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of hands-on experience with both children and adults. She earned her BA and her MA in Speech Pathology at St. Ambrose University. Tina is a compassionate mother of three children, one of which has special needs. Tina has worked in multiple settings centered around children with delays and exceptional needs.

Tina believes in a play-based approach to therapy by following the child’s lead, and building connections through play.

Outside of the office, Tina enjoys being with her family,  working out, snowboarding, and cooking.

Joanna Alexa Garcia

Joanna (Jo) was born and raised on the island of Saipan and moved to the U.S. in 2017. She graduated from Chemeketa Community College’s Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program in 2025. Before beginning her journey in speech therapy, Jo spent five years as a professional princess performer, portraying Moa na and other beloved characters. This experience helped her strengthen her ability to build relationships with children of all backgrounds and ages. She is also passionate about Polynesian dance, which she continues to practice and teach. In addition, Jo can fluently understand Tagalog. She brings her cultural roots, creativity, and a heartfelt dedication to helping others communicate with confidence.

Lauren

Lauren is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant with over 4 years of hands-on experience working with children across preschool, elementary, and high school settings. Originally from Minnesota, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Dakota and completed her SLPA practicum at an early childhood education center through Lake Region State College.

Lauren believes that progress in therapy begins with connection and fun. Her approach centers around building trust and engagement, creating a strong foundation for growth and learning.

She enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, spending time with friends, and staying active through hiking and group fitness.
